Now more than ever, it is imperative that as a business owner you think globally. From your company culture to marketing strategies, to content creation and even your sales process and beyond, it is imperative that you understand the value of connecting with people across the globe. Failing to do so can really restrict your vision and damage your bottom line. We exist in a world where everyone from a large corporation to a brand new online business owner can reach someone in South America as easily as you can reach your next door neighbor and it's important to not become insular in our thinking.

There are some really simple things that you can do to move into more of a global mindset when it comes to your business. One of them is broadening your marketing strategy. While you definitely want to stay true to your niche and target market more often than not those are not restricted by geography, so keep that in mind when you are developing a marketing plan.
Really explore whether there are people that you are unintentionally excluding that could benefit from your business and want and need what you have to offer. Now, take that same energy into other facets of your business.
Take a look at the individual parts of your business model (and your business practices) and find the spaces where there is more room for inclusion and expansion, which brings me to my next point: Hire globally. When you are hiring team members don't be afraid to branch to find the best fit.
