Doing the work even when it feels hard
It can be so easy to come up with a reason for NOT doing the work.
Being tired, travelling, not feeling 100%.
And at times those reason may be valid for a day or two... It's okay to take a couple of days off if it is legitimate, BUT where it can become dangerous is when those two days turn into two weeks, two months etc.
Recently I went to Singapore for 4 days and while I was there my messaging and marketing slowed down. I didn't have childcare there and I was enjoying living in the moment.
I still had team calls, sales calls and made some updates to our program but the outward messaging (videos and blogs) stopped aside from one I did on the last day... And getting back into it has felt quite frankly, hard.
Even writing this now feels harder than normal.
A little awkward. I'm feeling more self conscious... but you know what?
If you want to have a business that gives you freedom from the 9-5 job and the ability to live life on your own terms, sometimes you just have to do it!
Plus, it gets easier the more you do it.
The more consistent you are.
If you're feeling like it's harder than it needs to be, ask yourself this...
Am I being consistent?
Am I showing up even when I don't feel like it?
Or are you giving yourself reasons why you can take the day off (for multiple days or even weeks at a time?)
Be consistent for even a week and you'll notice a massive, massive difference.
